Grants Awarded in 2010

In 2010, The Stocker Foundation Awarded 66 Grants to Various Organizations, Totaling $1,741,988.

The Stocker Foundation implemented a new education-focused competitive grants program beginning in 2010. In sum, 66 grants totaling $1,741,988 were approved. All approved grants will help lessen the reading achievement gap for under-resources prekindergarten through fifth grade public school students. The Foundation's main areas of interest are Supplemental Reading Programs; Emerging Literacy Programs; Whole School Improvement/Teacher Professional Development around Reading Literacy; and Book Distribution Programs. A limited pool of dollars was awarded to help remove barriers toward reading success ("Other Services for Students").
