The Stocker Foundation seeks to improve the quality of life for children, youth and families; strengthening communities where trustees reside. Although simply worded, this mission statement has a depth of meaning that guides our work each and every day.
Over the past forty years, The Stocker Foundation has granted millions of dollars in the areas of arts and culture, education, food insecurities, health and human services, and women’s issues. While these investments have served to positively impact children and families across the United States, we pledge to do more to reach children experiencing inequities through our recently launched Literacy + STEAM grantmaking approach that aims to further close the education equity gap.
We condemn all forms of racism. We believe black lives matter. We support all people that have been subject to inequities and historically underrepresented including but not limited to racial and ethnic groups, LGBTQAI populations, people of differing abilities, socio-economic status, and age. We will continue to listen, learn, and respond to community needs as they arise, strategically and intentionally advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in our organization and grantmaking.
