The Stocker Foundation's education-focused competitive grant program has been in existence since 2011. We aim to create impact around improved reading outcomes for disadvantaged public school students in PreK through fifth grade. Areas of interest include emerging literacy; book distribution; whole school improvement/teacher professional development; and supplemental/enrichment reading programs that occur in-school, afterschool, and during the summer months. There is also a smaller amount of funding set aside to help remove barriers toward reading success (i.e., other services for students). The Stocker Foundation continues to have one grant cycle during the year. During calendar year 2020, The Stocker Foundation awarded 82 grants totaling $1,553,662.
